Alternating Air Cushion

Alternating Cushion System is a pressure relieving cushion with an air core and is supplied with a pump, cushion, foam support and six alternating cells. The cushion is set up in the chair or wheelchair and the hand pump allows the user to set the desired pressure level for extra comfort. The system sounds an alarm when the pressure drops below an acceptable level.

alternating air cushion is specifically designed for users at a medium to high risk of pressure ulcers. To set the system for the optimum performance, the user can control the comfort using the control knob whilst seated. Pressure indicators which are visable on the control unit identify when the pressure has reached the preset level and warn the user that the pressure is below an acceptable level. The cushion is provided with a two way stretch polyurethane waterproof and vapour permeable cover, reducing the shear and friction. Consists of a pump, seat cushion, foam support base and 6 alternating cells.
